December Newsletter
THEME: HOLIDAY LIGHTS
Have you ever caught a snowflake and studied it? Each has its own unique shape and structure. No two are exactly alike. There may be some that are similar, but none are the same.
Every person is unique, too. You have your own unique contribution to make to the world. You have you own unique gifts and talents that will benefit you and those around you. You have your own unique style, laugh, dreams, and strengths.
One snowflake will melt in an instant, but think of what happens when all those snowflakes are together in one place at one time. A pile of snow can make a ski jump, block a highway, provide water for a town, or carve the sides of a canyon. A lot of snow can accomplish things one snowflake can’t, but it takes all of them working together to be successful. Let's unite ourselves, each unique individual, and work toward the common goals of citizenship, service, physical and spiritual strength, and brotherhood, and see what a contribution we can make to the world.
FAITH IN GOD
All dens participated in making a Gingerbread house for the Gingerbread House Festival. In the Developing Talents section of their Faith in God books, the fourth requirement would fit this activity. “Make an item from wood, metal, fabric, or other material . . . Display your finished work for other to see.” If your boy attended the den meeting when they made the houses he accomplished this req. They were then displayed at the Festival, too.
*There were no awards this month, but I know you are all working hard for your next achievement.

November Newletter
THEME: SEEDS OF KINDNESS
As we approach Thanksgiving, let's spread "Seeds of Kindness" in the form of multiple small service projects. Helping others encourages compassion and gives boys the opportunity to see the bounty produced by spreading many small seeds of kindness. Boys, you can discover that just as the large, strong oak tree comes from a small acorn, big things can happen from spreading small seeds of kindness and charity. Help us this month with our Food Drive service project on Nov. 1 to jump start your month.
FAITH IN GOD:
Webelos: This month the Webelos learned about good nutrition and healthy bodies. This could help for two req. in their Faith in God books.
1st- Serving Others section =Plan, prepare, and serve a nutritious meal. The boys did the planning, so parents just need to help them prepare and serve it to finish this one.
2nd- Developing Talents section= Learn about and practice good nutrition, good health, and good grooming, including modest dress. They completed this one.
Bears: **
Wolves:**
**All boys who come tonight will participate in a service project which can count as the last req. of the Serving Others section.
